This (organic) twill chore jacket stems from the genuine one worn by the foremen, and contributed to the image of the French Workwear.

The double front-pocket was dedicated for pencils and notebook ; the cuffs at the wrists & tab for hatstand made it easier to wear and hang.

The twill ended up with prevailing on moleskin to become an iconic fabric of the French Workwear, meanwhile the anglo-saxons preferred the drills.
